cureKI / Our mission

A future worth working toward.

To advance the discovery and development of treatments for Kernicterus by conducting research, supporting scientific collaboration, and funding promising therapeutic initiatives—with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.

Our vision

A future where people affected by Kernicterus have access to meaningful treatments that improve neurological function, enhance quality of life, and offer possibilities for recovery.

Our intended model

We plan to pursue both direct research and development and collaboration with universities, hospitals, and biotechnology organizations. Future funding will depend on organizational capacity, resources, and scientific review.

Our founding commitments

Scientific rigor. Clear communication. Respect for lived experience. Responsible stewardship. We will distinguish hypotheses from evidence, and aspirations from demonstrated outcomes.

Where we are today
